The River Valley Ranch Residence employs a distinctive contemporary version of vernacular regional forms and detailing. Simple forms and massing allow the structure a seamless incorporation into its site and a definitive hierarchy of its interior spaces. The interior program is arranged to create a feeling of openness, light and flow while maintaining the ability to define each room individually. These components, along with the detailing of structural connections, are finitely abstracted to express an overall architectural style addressing the regional character of the Roaring Fork Valley while maintaining a contemporary aesthetic.
