Woody Creek
The Woody Creek Ranch Affordable Housing Project, located 6 miles north of Aspen, envisions a permanent community for the Roaring Fork Valley’s locals. The planning of the 118 acre site is based on the concepts of New Urbanism, generating approximately 750 housing units of varying types and neighborhood commercial services as well as an elementary school site. Mass transit is the focus of the planning with pedestrian linkages to commuter centers encouraging an auto free neighborhood. The architecture is based in regional forms and elements, ensuring a connection to place while introducing a modern design aesthetic. The combination of planning and architecture will create a unique sense and pride of place for critically needed affordable housing.
