Cattle + C R E E K
The Cattle Creek house is sited to the east of an enormous scree field on the side of a mountain. The idea for the project is to maximize the juxtaposition of the architecture and its natural surrounding while maintaining an elegant and economically simple form. All program elements of the house are contained under a singular sloping shed roof, alternately clad in vertical metal and horizontal siding. A subtraction at the southwest corner creates the entry courtyard and main exterior living space.
