R E D + Mountain
The Red Mountain Residence is an extensive remodel and addition to a 1970’s structure located on Red Mountain in Aspen. The owner desired a contemporary architectural statement that captured the expanse of views, ranging from Independence Pass to Mount Sopris. The living room walls are raised and a gently curving roof constructed to maximize glass and create dynamic form and space. The owner’s office is located at the upper most level, establishing a secondary curvilinear form which augments the living room form and also captures 360 degree views. Exquisite steel detailing on rails, braces and other design elements reinforces the house’s contemporary architecture.
